MentorSports pairs young athletes with caring mentors who guide them through the game — building character, discipline, and confidence on and off the court. This application helps us get to know your child and match them with the right mentor.
The athlete can answer the "About You" questions; a parent or guardian completes the consent and contact sections. Required fields are marked *. Your progress saves automatically on this device. When you submit, the application goes straight to our team and your athlete is added to the mentee waitlist - we will contact you when an opportunity opens up.
A place to come and be prepared for greatness.
MentorSports mentoring pairs your child one-on-one with a positive role model. Through the game, training, and group activities, mentors provide friendship, encouragement, and guidance — helping young athletes grow in character and confidence.
Mentoring takes place at MentorSports Gymnasium during scheduled program hours, in open and supervised areas. Mentors and athletes are never alone one-on-one in a closed or private space. Parents sign their child in and out.
The focus is mentoring and athletic development, not tutoring. A pair may choose to work on schoolwork together, but it is not the program's purpose.
Mentors are MentorSports volunteers from a range of backgrounds. Each is interviewed, trained, reference-checked, background-checked, and carefully matched with a mentee.
MentorSports group events are designed to be low- or no-cost. For any optional outings, families cover their child's fair share. [MentorSports: confirm your program fees, if any.]
