Schedule: Open play, league game days, tournaments, and special events; shifts by sign-up (evenings and weekends most common)
What you'll do
Monitor the parking lot, entrances, and building exterior before, during, and after scheduled activities
Walk the lot at regular intervals; watch for suspicious activity, unattended vehicles, loitering, and safety hazards such as poor lighting, ice, or blocked exits
Direct traffic and parking on busy game and event days; keep fire lanes, handicap spaces, and the drop-off area clear
Help with safe youth drop-off and pickup; make sure children go with a parent or authorized adult and are never left waiting outside alone
Greet arriving families and visitors; escort anyone who asks to their car after dark
Watch the entrances so only participants, families, and authorized visitors come in during programs
De-escalate disagreements calmly and involve the staff lead early; never confront or detain anyone
Call 911 for emergencies and notify the staff lead immediately; follow the emergency and incident-reporting procedures
Complete a short incident report the same day for anything unusual (accidents, damage, injuries, disputes, trespassing)
Report burned-out lights, damaged fencing, broken locks, and other facility concerns to the Maintenance team
Help lock up and do a final walk of the lot and building exterior at closing
